Product Overview
The (H)GW9-10/12/15/24 outdoor single-pole isolating switch (hereinafter referred to as the switch) is
suitable for use on 10 (12, 15, 24) kV high-voltage transmission and distribution lines, for the purpose
of opening and closing single-phase or three-phase circuits that are live but unloaded.
The switch is designed for single-phase use in three-phase line systems. It features a simple, economical
and user-friendly design. The switch is available with rated currents of 200, 400, 600, 630, 800, 1000
and 1250 amperes. All models consist of a base, support insulators, conductive parts and a mechanism.
A knife-switch structure is employed to open and close the circuit. Each phase’s knife blade consists of
two conductive blades, with compression springs fitted on both sides of the blades; adjusting the height
of these springs provides the required contact pressure for the switch’s knife blades. When opening or
closing the switch, the operating mechanism is actuated using an insulated hook rod to perform the
