\nThe ZW8-12 outdoor high-voltage vacuum circuit-breaker is an outdoor power distribution device with a rated voltage of 12
\nkV and a three-phase AC frequency of 50 Hz. This circuit-breaker is primarily used to open and close the load current,
\noverload current and short-circuit current in power systems. It features overload, short-circuit and instantaneous protection, as
\nwell as ground fault protection, with optional multiple reclosing, local remote control and remote communication functions.It is
\nsuitable for use in substations and the power distribution systems of industrial and mining enterprises for protection and control
\npurposes.
\nIn the event of a fault occurring within a user\u2019s premises on a 12 kV distribution line with a T-type connection, or where the
\nfault occurs on the upstream side of the user\u2019s feeder switch but the protection time delay is incompatible with that of the
\nsubstation\u2019s feeder switch,this will result in the substation\u2019s feeder switch tripping. If the fault is permanent and the
\nsubstation\u2019s reclosing fails, a fault within a single medium-voltage user\u2019s premiseswill cause a power outage along the entire
\ndistribution feeder. Such cascading faults, which are common in power grids, can cause significant losses to society.
\nWhen the ZW8-12 outdoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker is installed at the point of responsibility demarcation on
\noverhead distribution lines, it will automatically isolate single-phase earth faults and phase-to-phase short-circuit faults
\noccurring upstream of the customer\u2019s service entrance. This prevents faults within the customer\u2019s premises from propagating to
\nthe transmission trunk line, ensuring the safety of power supply to non-fers and enhancing the reliability of the power supply.<\/p>\n
